Element, formerly PCTEST
Customer for over 17 years
Element Materials Technology, provides industry-leading testing services, including 5G NR device testing, primarily for cellular devices such as handsets, tablets, laptops, wearables, modules, base-stations, and Internet of Things devices. The organization was founded in 1989 by a group of former Federal Communications Commission (FCC) engineers in response to the rapid technological growth in the manufacturing and communications industries at the time. Thanks to the expertise of these early Element engineers, new products and devices could be independently tested against a variety of FCC regulatory requirements. Today, with technological advancement moving faster than ever, Element continues to provide sophisticated testing and certification services for the devices and systems that make modern life possible.
Traceability, Proficiency, and Constant Improvement
Many organizations become accredited only once regulatory or industry requirements are mandated, but Element pursued accreditation with A2LA voluntarily, as part of its drive for constant improvement. Element’s competency and experience are unrivaled, and third-party accreditation through A2LA provides an objective, globally recognized indicator of its capabilities. Laptops, cell phones, and other devices are so crucial to the world today that end users must have absolute confidence in their safety and functionality. A2LA accreditation has allowed Element to differentiate itself from its competitors, providing additional assurance to customers that its results are accurate and reliable.
Beth Carbonella, Quality & Safety Manager
“We work with cutting edge technology and our field is constantly evolving, so we are continually expanding our scope. We initially used A2LA for only the accreditation of our testing capabilities, but we chose to move our certification scope to A2LA as well. The team is knowledgeable and friendly, the assessors are experts in their field, and the explanation of the standards and requirements is very clear.”
