The A2LA EPA WaterSense Accreditation Program accredits certification bodies that approve the use of the WaterSense label on various water-saving products.
WaterSense is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) partnership program. It seeks to protect the future of our nation’s water supply by offering people a simple way to use less water with water-efficient products, homes, and services.
The WaterSense label makes it easy for consumers to recognize products and programs that save water without sacrificing performance or quality. Independent, third-party licensed certification bodies certify that products meet EPA criteria for water efficiency and performance by following testing and certification protocols specific to each product category. Products that are certified as meeting EPA specifications are allowed to bear the WaterSense label. All products bearing the WaterSense label must be certified by an EPA-approved, independent, third-party product certification body that has been accredited by A2LA or another approved accreditation body.
This specialty program is covered under the A2LA Product Certification Accreditation Program.
