CTIA recognizes A2LA as an option for providing accreditation services to verify conformance of wireless products to industry standards.
The CTIA Wireless Association manages a program to certify LTE/CDMA devices for compliance to industry standards for the North American market. The program utilizes the Global Certification Forum ™ Certification Criteria.
Devices must pass a rigorous evaluation process, with testing conducted by CTIA Authorized Testing Laboratories (CATL). To meet the requirements of a CATL, laboratories must be accredited by A2LA or another ILAC MRA Accreditation Body.
This specialty program is covered under the A2LA electrical field of testing.
Program Requirements
- ISO/IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
