A2LA provides ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation services to Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing laboratories.
The Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program (AEMCLRP) was originally developed by Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors to address quality issues related to component and subsystem EMC testing. The AEMCLRP program has since been dissolved, but the original equipment manufacturers now require that EMC test laboratories be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by an accreditation body such as A2LA that is a full member signatory to the ILAC MRA.
This program is covered by A2LA’s Electrical field of testing.
