A2LA offers accreditation to laboratories performing testing for biological and chemical threat agent identification in categories such as chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals, toxic industrial materials, as well as select agents, and select toxins.
A2LA’s Threat Agent Testing Laboratory Accreditation Program was developed to promote confidence in the analytical testing capabilities of first responders, government agencies, law enforcement agencies, government contractors, researchers and private institutions conducting testing for biological and chemical threat agents in the lab and the field. A2LA Threat Agent Testing Laboratory Accreditation Program requirements are designed to encompass the needs of laboratories tasked with identifying and detecting CBRNE Agents (CBRNE is an acronym for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive materials).
This specialty program is covered by the A2LA chemical and biological fields of testing.
