Accreditation Officer II Jenna Schoettker

While working with A2LA, you may receive notifications about attending the A2LA Annual Conference. For those who may not know about this event or what its benefits are, this article will provide insight into the Annual Conference and why you should attend.

The A2LA Annual Conference is an event for accreditation professionals to meet in person, learn new skills, polish already established skills, and collaborate on accreditation and industry topics that impact them. This conference is an opportunity for dialogue and connection between A2LA staff, assessors, conformity assessment bodies, and industry experts.

The first benefit of attending the conference is the collaborative aspect. Throughout the conference, presentations are given by industry experts on a wide range of topics from managing risk and corrective actions to more specific topics such as myths and misnomers on calibration certificates.

In the spirit of collaboration, A2LA also utilizes the Annual Conference as an opportunity for technical committees to meet. Those involved in the technical committees discuss new business impacting all parties, as well as provide updates on action items from the previous sessions.

Another great opportunity the Annual Conference offers is the social aspect. The receptions, dinners, and social hours are a great way to take a more relaxed approach to connecting with industry professionals in your field and others. Many individuals find this time to be a good way to finish an engaging day, while still learning about A2LA, accreditation, industry movement, and how individuals in different roles function within the accreditation process.

The A2LA Annual Conference is made possible by wonderful sponsors and exhibitors. In sponsoring or exhibiting, organizations position themselves as leaders in their industry and spark discussions with multiple levels of key decision makers present. Exhibiting is a great way to showcase new products or services while being actively visible in high traffic areas of the conference.

Whether it be interacting with an accreditation officer, attending a discussion on updates in your industry, learning more from vendors, meeting assessors, or networking, the A2LA Annual Conference is an engaging environment with a warm atmosphere that we hope draws you in.

We greatly look forward to seeing folks in Texas next year for A2LA AnnCon25!
