A Warm Welcome to A2LA’s 2021 Summer Interns

Home » News » A Warm Welcome to A2LA’s 2021 Summer Interns

May 25, 2021 by A2LA

A2LA is excited to welcome a new group of students to our summer 2021 internship program. Since 2012, A2LA has been welcoming interns to help young people gain real-life work experience in their chosen field, adding new programs and support tools each year. This year’s program kicks off in May, and over the next several weeks A2LA staff will get to meet and mentor seven young professionals in various departments. Each have kindly shared a little bit of information about themselves.

Heather Chen

Heather is one of two Business Development interns who will be joining the A2LA team this year. She currently studies at Cornell, majoring in Applied Economics and Management and has also previously interned for Long & Foster. In her spare time, Heather is a video editor and also enjoys playing volleyball.

Savannah Baier

Savannah is our other Business Development intern; she is from Michigan and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University last year. She is now working on her MBA from Walsh College.  Savannah likes to watch lots of TV and movies, with her favorite being crime and reality TV.

Lydia Urban

Lydia will be joining our Marketing team for the summer. She is a rising senior at Virginia Tech, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Event Management. Lydia enjoys swimming and snowboarding and is a Green Bay Packers fan!

Logan Sweeney

Logan will be joining A2LA’s largest team, Accreditation Services, where he will support the complex but crucial role accreditation plays in daily life. Logan currently studies at Penn State University, where he majors in Engineering. He previously worked for UTZ, but in his free time he enjoys drumming and playing guitar. He is also a Ravens fan!

Sabrina Keo

Sabrina is joining the team as our Human Resources intern. She studied Business Administration with a concentration in HR at Towson University. Sabrina previously was a sales and marketing intern at Greek House. Sabrina likes to write and spends a lot of her time in California.

Angela Vasquez

Angela is our Quality Department intern for the summer. She has received her associate’s degree from Frederick Community College and is now studying Human Resource Management at Towson University. She has previously worked as a pharmacy technician at Wegmans. In her spare time, she enjoys roller skating, knitting, and caring for her house plants. Angela is a Washington Wizards fan and likes to watch The Office.

Ethan Cernicky

Ethan is joining the team as our Government Relations intern. He is currently studying at Shippensburg University. He has previously worked at Subway and Despina Leos Candy Kitchen. He enjoys playing volleyball and baseball and watching Marvel movies. Ethan is enthusiastic about the whole crop of Pittsburgh sports teams: go Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins!
