A2LA has welcomed several new staff members since the last issue of A2LA Today!
 
Mr. Richard Stonebraker joined us as an Accreditation Officer on the Life Sciences team. Prior to joining A2LA, Richard served as a Biological Science Technician with the United States Department of Agriculture, where he taught agricultural, biological, environmental and microbial sciences to student interns. Richard recently received his M.A. in Education with a concentration in Adult Education and Training from University of Phoenix. Prior to that, he attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he received his B.S. in General Agriculture.

Ms. Megan Deckert recently joined A2LA as an Accreditation Officer on the Electrical Team. Megan received her B.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education from Towson University. During her time in college, Megan tutored fellow student-athletes in Calculus I and Calculus II, as well as in Developmental Math. Upon graduation and prior to joining A2LA, Megan worked within the Howard County Public School district as a mathematics teacher, specifically teaching Advanced Placement Statistics and Pre-calculus. She also served as a coach on the varsity indoor and outdoor track and field teams.

Ms. Stephanie Reich joined the A2LA Materials Testing Team as an Accreditation Officer. Stephanie recently worked as a middle school math teacher in the Frederick County School district. She also worked as the Assistant Track Coach and Head Cross Country Coach during her time spent with the school district. She received her B.A. in Mathematics from Bucknell University and has been accepted at Johns Hopkins University, where she will pursue her M.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics.

Ms. Theresa Bohn joined A2LA as the Controller within the Financial Services Department. Theresa received her B.A. in Accounting, as well as her M.S. in Business Administration from Loyola University in Baltimore. Prior to joining A2LA, Theresa spent several years as the Controller at Zero to Three, a non-profit organization in Washington, DC, which provides child development educational resources to parents and professionals.

Ms. Ingrid Miller joined A2LA as an Accreditation Officer on the Product Certification & Materials Testing Team. Ingrid is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict located in Collegeville, MN where she received her B.A. in Chemistry. While pursuing her degree, Ingrid spent much of her time working in the lab allowing her to explore her passion for chemistry. She also served as a Campus Minister during her time at St. Benedict.

Ms. Stephanie Adams joined the A2LA Calibration Team, also as an Accreditation Officer. Stephanie received her B.S. in Chemistry from Stevenson University. More recently, Stephanie received her M.S. in Biomedical Science from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, NC. While completing her degree in Biomedical Science, Stephanie served as a graduate research assistant. She also worked as a Chemist at Global Laboratory Services, where she was responsible for instrument maintenance and repair, analyzing tobacco products, and providing training to personnel on sample preparation and testing
procedures.  

A2LA is pleased to welcome Richard, Megan, Stephanie R., Theresa, Ingrid, and Stephanie A. to the growing A2LA family!
