Since the New Year began, A2LA is pleased to welcome Four new staff members to the A2LA team!

Ms. Sunayna Johnson joined A2LA in January 2017, filling the newly-created position of Project Coordinator. Ms. Johnson earned her B.A. in Journalism and also her MBA in International Management, both from the University of Texas-Pan American. She brings diverse experience in project management, marketing and teaching to A2LA. Sunayna will be on the A2LA Marketing Team and will work closely with Accreditation Services as well as with other departments to support our growing programs.

Ms. Caitlin Krop joined A2LA in January 2017 as an Accreditation Officer. Caitlin received her B.A. in Mathematics from Cedarville University and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington. Prior to joining A2LA, Caitlin was employed at Hagerstown Community College (HCC), where she was a Developmental Math teacher. She also acted as a Learning Support Specialist at HCC by providing supplemental instructions and group tutoring to STEM students. Caitlin is an Accreditation Officer on the Product Certification and Electrical Team.

A2LA welcomed Ms. Marcela Shkolnik, also as an Accreditation Officer, in February 2017. Since relocating from California, Marcela has worked as a Customer Service Representative. Prior to that, she was employed by Tropical Fish International in Gardena, CA as a Quality Assurance Team Leader. Ms. Shkolnik received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from California State University and brings with her a diverse background, including a concentration in French studies and fluency in Spanish.

Finally, Ms. Katy Lyons joined the A2LA team in March as the Business Development Specialist. Katy comes to A2LA with years of business development experience working in various sales positions. Her work experience includes product- and service-based companies, such as such as ANCILE Solutions, Welocalize, and ExpoExchange. Katy attended Frostburg State University and studies daily as she continues to hone her expertise in sales and now with learning the ins and outs of the accreditation industry.
