USGv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) Test Program

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has recognized A2LA to accredit testing laboratories under the USGv6 Test Program. This program requires that laboratories performing testing of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) products for use in the United States government be accredited by an International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) signatory.

The specific technical requirements (including test methods and proficiency testing requirements) are detailed in NIST SP 500-273 and can be found on the NIST web site at http://www.antd.nist.gov/usgv6/testing.html.

A2LA will accredit laboratories for this program under the Information Technology Program requirements. The specific requirements for this field of testing are contained in A2LA document "R214 - SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TESTING LABORATORY ACCREDITATION PROGRAM." This and all A2LA specific requirements can be found in the Information Technology Requirements page of our web site at http://www.a2la.org/appsweb/it.cfm.
